What We Do

HAF Holiday Activities for 7 – 11 years old

Our holiday activities for 7–11 years can join daily enrichment and sports activities such as drama, mixed sports, fabric printing, cooking and beekeeping skills. The program provides a safe space for learning, making friends, and having fun, encouraging children to share ideas and develop confidence while connecting with their community.

Jewellery & Bead Making

Make your own friendship bracelets, necklace, bracelets, key rings, earrings to wear or original gift items for family and friend

Print Making

Recycle old clothes and save the planet from landfill and ocean pollution. Refreshyour T-shirts, trainers, hats jeans, bags, even pencil cases! Using different types of printmaking, such as bubble print, block point, and collagraph, stencilling, and tie-dying technique

Drawing & Painting on canvas

Campers will learn to use different ways to create drawings, using techniques of producing images on a surface usually paper. They will learn to use different types of drawing utensils which include, but not limited to ink, chalk, marker, paint, or crayon to create different effects

Card & Stationary making

Creating cards with various materials for different occasions is a wonderful way to make gifts for family and friends. Decorate their unique greeting cards using glitter, sequins, or any other creative elements they choose. This activity helps them develop motor skills, emotional awareness, consideration for others, planning abilities, task completion, self-expression, and confidence

Beekeeping & Gardening

In the warmer weather, we look after our community green spaces and plant seeds, grow food and take care of wildlife and encourage children and young people to care for their natural world. Children participate in Save Our Bees beekeeping, growing food and edible plants learning about pollination, the crucial role of bees in food production, and practical ways to protect biodiversity

Yoga

Children use yoga’s simple movements to relax and support their mental and physical well-being in fun and creative way

Swimming

Instructor led Family swimming sessions at Park Road and Wavertree Lifestyle centres, children can learn or improve their swimming abilities and techniques in shallow or large pool

Skipping

The Whole School Skip is a full day of skipping excitement! Tailored for all ages and abilities, everyone gets a chance to learn or enhance their skipping skills through fun, engaging lessons and team competitions

Board Games

A variety of games to get them using their imagination and strategy thinking! Team players classic board games such as chess, draughts, Cluedo, Monopoly, Scabble or solve jigsaw puzzle, or puzzle books problem solving drama games such Give Us a Clue, and much more.

Drama & Storytelling

Children engage in creative activities, including performance pieces and educational programs like "Send me a Selfie" and Grooming or Grassing to promote online safety

Nature Adventure Hikes

Children will explore our local parks, observe nature, collect flowers, leaves, twigs, rocks to use to create artwork and make bug hotels and flower pressing

Photography & video making

Discover how to take photos for storytelling using tablets, phones, or kid-friendly instant cameras, while building journalism skills to showcase important local topics

Cooking

Cooking for kids’ workshops, offer hands-on, themed cooking experiences to build kitchen confidence skills, teach nutrition, and to enjoy food

Outdoor play & Sports Hall

From interactive big foam blocks games, hula hoops, egg and sack race, and assault courses, including football, dodgeball, cricket, tennis and so much more

Football

We run weekend sports and football Summer Camps for boys and girls age 7+ 14 throughout the year to encourage health and fitness outside of school hours and help increase self-esteem and reduce stress levels and anxiety. Our Coaches focus on skill & emotional growth with structured activities to inspire teamwork, resilience, and confidence to inspire leadership skills. Activities run at Archbishop Blanch School

Boxing

Boxing for children is an effective motivational approach that promotes discipline, resilience, and self-confidence while contributing to overall physical fitness. The sport provides a constructive channel for managing stress, encouraging a growth mindset by teaching participants to tackle challenges and persist through effort, thereby supporting both mental and physical health.
